Support Faith Leaders

Faith leaders serve as spiritual and moral guides in our congregations and local communities putting you on the front lines of the climate crisis. You are essential to thriving congregations and healthy communities. One Home One Future is here for you, and offers you support, resources, and knowledge.

Below are tools and resources to support clergy and lay leaders, young and old, to preach, teach, and lead congregations to just climate action.

Getting Started

There are many ways to engage with creation care. Below is a sample plan of simple actions to get you started. Looking for more ways to engage? See a full list of actions to support faith leaders below.

  1. Deepen your climate and faith knowledge by taking a free creation care training.

  2. Lead a creation care worship service. Preach and teach on creation care and climate justice.

  3. Model caring for creation visibly through large and small actions throughout your daily life and ministry. Include creation in your prayers, newsletters, and conversations.

  4. Get outside and celebrate the sacredness of creation. It is important for your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

  5. Center and support youth in all your creation care work.

  6. Share your actions with your congregation, denomination, and wider community through newsletters and social media, and in conversations.

  7. Invite other faith leaders to join One Home One Future and make use of the free resources and trainings, and connect with the community.
