Our easy-to-follow facilitation materials empower you to confidently guide your group through a mix of engaging videos, thoughtful discussions, and interactive activities — no prior experience necessary! Find a comfortable space, gather your group, and we'll support you every step of the way. 

 

The training is designed for all audiences, and you can choose content tailored to Faith, Health, or Community groups. It’s completely free to host a Climate Ambassador training for your group.

Here's How It Works

Hosting a Climate Ambassador Training for your group is simple:

  1. Sign Up to Host: Register to host a group training by selecting a date, time, and location that works best for your group. You will receive a Host Guide that walks you through every step of the process from setup to follow-up.

  2. Promote & Invite Participants: We’ll provide you with a personalized registration link and promotional resources to help you recruit attendees. Your group can sign up online, and you’ll be able to check your registration list anytime.

  3. Host Your Training: Gather your group in person and use the on-demand training videos to guide your session. You’ll play short modules and pause for guided discussions and interactive activities. It’s about 3 hours total, and you don’t need to be an expert — just enthusiastic and organized.

Is This Training Suitable for your Group?

This training is ideal for community organizations, workplaces, educational institutions, religious groups, nonprofits, or even informal groups of friends. It’s designed for anyone interested in facilitating climate action, including educators, students, and community leaders.

What You Need

  • A space to gather in person (for about 3 hours).

  • A screen (TV, monitor, or projector), speakers, and internet to play videos.

  • A little preparation time (1–2 hours to familiarize yourself with the materials). No prior knowledge of climate issues or facilitation experience is required.

What You'll Receive From Us

We make hosting easy! You’ll receive:

  • An easy-to-follow Host Guide with a clear session outline, discussion prompts, promotional materials, and technical guidance to ensure a smooth training experience.

  • Access to the free on-demand Climate Ambassador Training for your audience (Faith, Health, or Communities).

  • Registration support, including a unique registration link for your group, real-time access to your registration list, and an attendance tracker provided the day before your event.

  • Support from the ecoAmerica team, available to help answer questions as you prepare for your group training.

What Happens Next?

After the training, your participants will each receive a certificate and the opportunity to join our growing national network of nearly 5,000 Climate Ambassadors with access to exclusive resources, events, and on-going support. As a host, you’ll be helping spark change in your own community!
